The Top 7 Colorado Attractions

There are many stunning Colorado Attractions, but I narrowed the field down to the top 7.  I would love to know your take about that, so please submit your comments below and tell me whether I'm right or wrong.

1.  Mesa Verde National Park

The park is not completely indicative of the "Centenniel State" because it is not the typical "14er" with tall , blue mountains with white peaks.  However, it's the most unique monument with a world-wide reputatiton.  90% of the reviews are completely positive and visitors  leave there with a whole new reverance for the Ancesteral Puebloans.

2.  Rocky Mountain National Park

Everything from the peaks, trails, wildlife, trees, and views speak of Colorado. You will leave this park feeling like you've experienced a life-long memorable vacation.

3.  The Sand Dunes

This archeological phenomenon that backs up to the Sangre De Cristo mountain ranges is the biggest dunes in all of North America.  You'll love the stream below and the hike to the top is one-of-a-kind.

4.  The Black Canyon

The dramatic drops of this canyon make the walls deep and rich.  In one area, their is a drop of over 230 feet in a mile.  That is much steeper than the Grand Canyon.

5.  Red Rocks Amphitheater

The best of bands have been playing at this natural, outdoor "concert hall" for over 100 years.  You can be rocking out to great music while you're looking right into Denver.

6.  Pikes Peak

Our nation's second national anthem was inspired by the views from this peak.  I made a video with the lyrics of what Katherine Lee Bates probably saw before she made the poem for America the Beautiful.

7.  Garden of the Gods

This park sits at the foothills of Pikes Peak and the gorgeous, jutting red rocks compliments the whole area. The history of the park is also pretty interesting.
