Colorado Ice Castles

These Colorado ice castles are truly magical and your family will be amazed. The whole project is completely organic meaning it's 100% ice without any supporting substructures.

Brent Christensen created these beauties and he actually has a patent on the process. Like many inventions in life, it started out as an accident and evolved into magic. Just check out the video below.

These structures are located only one-quarter of a mile off of Interstate 70 from exit 205 at the Town Pavilion in Silverthorne, Colorado. If you're skiing at Vail, Breckenridge, or anywhere in the region, make it a point to stop by. They're open in the evenings and expect to pay $10.00 for adults and $7.50 for your kids.

There's nothing like this in the world and it's been profiled by Oprah Winfrey, the Los Angeles Times, and the Denver Post.

You need to get there before it melts and who know when mother nature will determine that. There's about a total of 3,000,000 gallons of ice.

If you get any pictures, please show us what you got. I'll credit you for the work and mention it in my Colorado Newsletter.  Take a look at my Colorado Pictures page for details.
